Senior Monash staff
The Monash University Council is chaired by the Chancellor, currently Dr Alan Finkel. The Vice-Chancellor of the University, Professor Ed Byrne, along with the faculty Deans and other senior staff, ensures the University meets its goals and targets as outlined in the University's strategic documents.
University Council
Council is the governing body of Monash University. Council is responsible for the overall superintendence of the University with specific accountability to the relevant State and Commonwealth Ministries for the fulfilment of the University's role in the Australian community
Academic Board
The Academic Board of Monash University is responsible for oversight of the University's academic affairs, including the maintenance of high standards in teaching and research.
